2-Hour Defensive Essentials Workshop for First Responders
Duration: 2 hours
Fee: R847-00 per participant
Workshop Content
Module 1: Responder Safety Related to Subjects Under Care
- Situational analysis and decision making steps
- Defensive perimeter considerations at the scene of a response
- Ethical, legal, and non-violent restraining techniques for violent subjects under care
Module 2: External Threat Defensive Component
- Criminal encounter: compliance vs active defense
- Basic targets, strikes, and immobilization techniques
- Escapes and counters vs grabs, holds, and chokes
- Defenses and counters vs attempted sexual assault
Module 3: Armed Threats
- Basic disarming and defensive techniques vs an armed subject or criminal intruder
Please note: we require a minimum of 4 participants in order to facilitate a workshop.

- Compliance and escape protocols in event of vehicle hijacking
