Elite Defence Academy International is excited to introduce IN DEMAND, our range of men’s workshops developed around the principles of International Men’s Day, celebrated globally on Tuesday 19th November 2024.

We understand the benefits of scheduling regular wellness retreats, where we can unplug, practice mindfulness and recharge - but so often this is at a huge expense and at odds with busy schedules and the very real demands on our time.

We’ve looked for something practical, suited to all fitness levels, with practices that are easy to learn, easy to recall and most importantly – easy to incorporate into our daily lives.

And apparently this was a big ask, so when we couldn’t find it – we created it.

Our series of IN DEMAND workshops are the culmination of more than 20 years’ experience in interrelated martial arts and personal wellness modalities including Tai Chi, Qigong, and Krav Maga, incorporating relevant Yogic and Ayurvedic traditions, Taoist Meditation and Mindfulness techniques, science-based Breathwork practice, and developed in consultation with Psychologists, Behavioural Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

These workshops were designed with you in mind. In fact, they’re suited to everybody.
No matter what size, shape or level of fitness you’re at.

Personal safety and practical self defense:

Men are often expected to assume the role of protectors - of society, and of their loved ones. But they aren't always given the skills to do so effectively and intelligently. That's why this segment of the workshop addresses questions like:

  • How do I develop smart skills that enable me to exercise greater situational awareness?
  • How do I avoid potentially dangerous situations - or de-escalate a potential conflict?
  • In the face of physical danger, how do I decide when it's appropriate to fight back - and how should I do it?
  • How can I learn practical physical self defense skills that actually work in a crisis against a larger or stronger assailant?
  • What simple daily physical exercises or drills can I do to increase my physical resilience and capability?
