Krav Maga in Australia

 

Arista and Elliana van Rooyen offer Krav Maga training in Australia.

 

Arista and Elliana are certified Krav Maga instructors and both hold the rank of Krav Maga Black Belt Level 1 within the Elite Defence Academy International Krav Maga system.

Arista and Elliana have trained under the tutelage of several of South Africa's most well-known and capable Krav Maga instructors, including the head of EDA International, Des Brown.

In addition to class training and standard syllabus work, they have also experienced the practicalities of realistic self defense during their training in the context of Johannesburg, South Africa - one of the most dangerous cities in the world.

They have both used their training on several occasions to defend themselves against criminals - including during the once-in-a-lifetime Queensland floods of 2022. These practical experiences, combined with a deep understanding of the threats women (and men) face on both continents, equip them uniquely to teach highly effective self defense with expertise and empathy.
