Solomons Treasure Teambuilding Workshop

Renowned varsity archaeologist and popular YouTuber, Professor Solomon Mokoena, sent one last cryptic WhatsApp to his support team before he disappeared.

His quest? To find the resting place of the treasure hidden somewhere in Africa by the legendary King Solomon himself – reputedly the wealthiest king to ever walk the face of the earth!

Professor Mokoena – affectionately nicknamed “Serious” by his colleagues – discovered something extraordinary. An ancient scroll, brought by ship from the Middle East more than a thousand years ago, that hints at the location of King Solomon’s Mines! Shrouded in secrecy, Professor Mokoena set out on the journey of a lifetime after having gathered all the historic artefacts needed to pinpoint the fabulous treasure.

One by one, he solved the riddles and clues and followed the trail into territory so dangerous that nobody was willing to go with him.
And now, he is missing.

The race is on! Teams will compete to:

• Uncover clues left on the map he carried and the notes he made.

• Figure out how to translate an ancient message in a strange language.

• Gain access to Professor Mokoena’s abandoned pack – locked and coded!

• Solve 3D physical puzzles, assemble antique navigation instruments, and figure out, step by step, what Professor Mokoena was hiding from those who waited for him in the shadows.

Will the winning team discover what has happened to Professor Mokoena? And will they unlock the long-lost secret of Solomon’s Treasure?

REQUIREMENTS

Players: 8 – 100 (teams are formed and compete against each other)

Time required: approximately 2 hours

Suited to: All

Space required: A suitably large indoor space depending on group size. Usually, a large boardroom or similar indoor / shaded outdoor space is adequate.

Physical ability required: no physical ability required – this game consists of puzzle solving and information sharing, with some physical props that only require tabletop space for assembly and problem solving.

Equipment required: We supply all game props.

Less than 20 participants: R980 per person
(We require a minimum of 8 participants to facilitate a workshop)

20 - 40 participants: R820 per person

41 - 60 participants: R750 per person

61+ participants: R550 per person
